Annual Turkey Trot Nov 15th!

The Annual Turkey Trot, hosted by the Rec Center, will be Saturday Nov 15, 2014. Register online or at the Rec Center ($5 discount if you bring two cans of food). Finisher medals, awards, raffles, t-shirt and more!

Family Weekend

Family Weekend begins Friday with the Lady Chaps playing Midwestern State at 6:00 p.m. and The Sound of Music performance at 7:30 p.m.

Saturday the cafeteria will serve pancakes for $4 and the Aggies will serve lunch for $8 in the SUB. The group High Tea with members, Kregg Fehr, Andy Young, and Michael Martin will perform. Pay at the door.

At 10:00 President Perrin will speak at chapel in the Baker Conference Center, followed by a Music Sampler of all the LCU music groups.

Friends of the Arts will host The Sound of Music Sign-a-long for children ($10) at 12:30 p.m. in the McDonald Moody Auditorium. Tickets for the show are available for the 7:30 Friday show and the 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday show.

The Chap Store will be open 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and will offer a 25% discount on one full price item, excluding diploma frames and CD's.

Alpha Chi National Honor Society Inductions will be at 2:30 p.m. and LCU Ring Ceremony will be at 5:00 p.m. in the Baker Conference Center. The First Generation College Student Reception will be in the Cardwell Welcome Center at 5:30 p.m.

Ghosts of LCU

Ghostly human figures are roaming the LCU campus, courtesy of the Art Explorations in Media class. Can you find all six of the plastic cast figure installations? Post a photo of yourself with a ghost figure to Instagram #myLCU. The "Ghosts of LCU" installation will be up through Tuesday, October 7.

International Student Reception

All international students are invited to a come and go reception hosted by the Mentoring Office on October 8th from 11:30 to 1:00. Chips and dips will be served. Details of the International Student Luncheon will be discussed. If you have any questions contact Adelle Davis at

Kyodai Panther Ball Mixer

Hey Fellas, the men of Kyodai would like to invite you to the Intramural fields this Saturday October 4th at 2PM to play some Panther Ball. Be sure to have clothes on that you don't mind getting messy and prepare to release your inner Panther!

LCU Health Fair

On October 9th, the Health Fair will be taking place in the Rec Center from 11:30-4:00. Come grab your FREE goodie bag and enjoy learning from health care providers in Lubbock. You can enter to win door prizes and register for the Blood Drive happening October 14! See you there!

LOA Harry Potter Mixer

Strap on your goggles and fasten your robes! The ladies of LOA invite you to our Harry Potter Mixer! Join us on the Intramural Fields at 3pm on Saturday, October 11th. Be ready to play some Quidditch!

Mindfulness Group Cancelled

The Mindfulness Group that meets at noon on Thursdays is cancelled for this week only (October 2). Both Monday and Thursday groups will meet next week as regularly scheduled. Thank you for your understanding.

MSA would like to invite you to their 3rd meeting of the Fall Semester. The meeting will be in room 105 of the CDC, and it is schedule to take place from 5:30-6:00. The Sound of Music

The Thursday evening invited performance of The Sound of Music is open to LCU students with ID and all faculty and staff for $5.00.
Tickets available at the door that evening. The performance begins at 7:30.

Royal Road Win For Lady Chaps

HOBBS, Texas (September 30, 2013) – Lubbock Christian University received multi-goal performances from Brooke Wendl and Claudia Sanchez, and the Lady Chaparrals closed out their pre-Heartland Conference schedule with a 6-1 victory over University of the Southwest (N.M.) Tuesday night at Watson Stadium on the campus of Hobbs High School.
