Behavioral Sciences Society

The Behavioral Sciences Society will have its first meeting of the semester on September 2nd at 9 PM. We will meet in room 100 of the BSB, and Mrs. Bonner will speak about handling anxiety. We will also provide FREE pizza! Both psychology majors and non-majors are welcome. See you there!

Chap Radio Training

Be a part of LCU's own Chap Radio with your own show! No experience is necessary, we will train you. Shows on any topic are welcome - sports, talk, music, spiritual, it's up to you! Join us on Friday Aug 29th at 11am in CAA 130 for this semester's first training session.

Mindfulness at Greenlawn

What: Mindfulness at Greenlawn
Where: Greenlawn Church of Christ (right next to LCU) room 126 (use the south entrance)
When: Every Monday and Thursday at noon

Regular attendance is not required and there can be benefit from simply attending once or twice, or from coming regularly. Mindfulness can be especially useful with things like anxiety, worry and stress, though it can also be applied to a wide range of the issues that make up our lives. You will not be asked to share or speak in front of people ☺

Private Music Lessons

At LCU all students are able to register for private lessons in voice or instruments. If you would like to learn guitar, piano, percussion, voice, or another instrument, please visit with your advisor and add the course this week. Contact Dr. Doyle or Mr. Babcock if you have questions.

Reel Christians: Thinking Critically about Film

Dr. Ken Cukrowski, Dean of the College of Biblical Studies at ACU, will be speaking on campus on Tuesday in chapel and at 1:00 in the Baker Conference Center. The theme of his talks is “Reel Christians: Thinking Critically about Film.” At 1:00, his talk will be “What I Learned While Watching 1000 Movies.” All students, faculty, and staff are invited.
