"Language of Love" Writing Contest

The University Writing Center invites you to submit love-themed short stories or poetry to its "Language of Love" writing contest between now and midnight on Feb. 14. Short stories should be between 400-1500 words. Cash prizes for the winners: 1st place: $75, 2nd place: $50, and 3rd place: $25. Send entries to Submissons will be evaluated anonymously by the Writing Center staff. Questions? Contact Jana Anderson.

Choir openings

Men--We have openings for tenors and basses in the Praise Choir this semester. If you love to sing and have room in your schedule for three hours of rehearsal a week, and would like a choir scholarship, contact Dr. Camp about setting up an informal audition--

Zeta Gamma's Last ICC Devo

The ladies of Zeta Gamma would like to invite everyone to their last night to host ICC Devo at 9:00 pm on Wednesday in the SUB! President, JourneƩ Cotton, will share a message.

Pack the RIP

Bring your school spirit and come out to the RIP this Thursday at 7pm for a spirit showcase! We will have pizza, cheer with the cheerleaders, and have MANY tshirt's to toss! Come out and Be Blue!

Mary Poppins Movie Night

Join us this Saturday in the SUB, at 7pm for a 'practically perfect' movie night with Mary Poppins! We will watch and sing along with Julie Andrews. Come out and enjoy this classic!

Intramural Volleyball

We will be having the intramural volleyball meeting on Monday, January 28th at 5 pm. Reminder that one person from each team must be present. Contact Cade at if you have any questions.

Rock Wall

The Rock Wall will be open beginning Tuesday, Jan.22nd. Our hours are: Tuesday 4pm-8pm, Thursday 4pm-8pm, & Friday 12pm-4pm. We will also be open some Mondays this semester. Come get certified!


If you're looking for ways to craft a competitive application to graduate schools, then mark your calendars! Students are encouraged to participate in this upcoming FUSION event. Come listen to some helpful tips regarding self-care and helpful suggestions for summer plans. This will be held January 30th at 10am in the Ling Science Center.
