The Chap Book is open for submissions

We welcome submissions of poetry, short fiction, creative non-fiction, and art. All writing submissions should be sent as MS Word attachments. No more than three poems per entry; short fiction and creative non-fiction entries two thousand words or fewer; art submissions should be attached as high-resolution .jpeg files of the art piece. Additionally, we are soliciting entries for cover art. These entries must be black and white (photographs, drawings, sketches, etc.) and must include a representation of either the LCU campus or life at LCU. These images should also be submitted digitally as high-resolution .jpeg files. Entries should be sent to journalsubmissions@lcu.edu. In the subject line, please indicate what type of work you are submitting (poetry, fiction, non-fiction, or art). Entries to be considered for journal must be submitted by March, 5th 2016.


Ruck N Run 5K

The Veterans of Faith will host a Ruck N Run 5K to raise money for their organization. The event will take place on April 9, 2016 starting a 8AM. Registration is $15 and open now. Baseball season opener against Adams State University! Games are Thursday at 4pm, Friday at 3pm and Saturday at 12pm.

Meet with Beth Ryan in the Betty Hancock Parlor

If you are considering pursuing a law degree after LCU, on Monday, February 8, come visit with Beth Atkinson Ryan, partner in the Carson Ryan Law Firm in Roswell, New Mexico, in the Hancock Parlor of the Baker Conference Center, 10:30-11:30. Ryan graduated from LCU, got her law degree at Texas Tech School of Law, and now is a successful lawyer.


University Writing Center

The University Writing Center is open for the Spring 2016 semester and consultants in the UWC are ready to help you with any phase of the writing process--brainstorming, outlining, researching, writing a draft, or strengthening a final draft. Come by and let's talk about strategies to move your paper from "blah" to beautiful.


Chap Store Relocation

The Chap Store will be closed on WEDNESDAY and THURSDAY, February 10 & 11 as we move to our new location! We will re-open on Friday, February 12 in our new location just in time for all the Homecoming festivities! Stay tuned!
